Pressure Washing Procedures
Services range from low-pressure soft washing of roofs to high-pressure cleaning of concrete, brick pavers, walls, eaves, pool decks, screens, mobile homes, houses, outdoor furniture, wood decks and fences, and more. Medium-pressure chemical injection and exterior painting (with washing included on paint jobs) are available as needed.
Pressure cleaning, power washing, and pressure washing refer to high-pressure water used to loosen and rinse contaminants—dirt, mold, mildew, grease, graffiti, rust, spider webs, and loose paint. Hot water is not the same as steam cleaning.
Equipment uses an engine-driven pump to force water through a small orifice. Cleaning strength depends on PSI and gallons per minute. Chemicals can be injected when appropriate.
Basic steps
- Prepare the area — move mats, furniture, and loose items.
- Remove heavy debris — leaves, sticks, soil buildup, trash.
- Pre-treat — water and the right detergent where needed.
- Wash — pressure adjusted to the surface (roughly low to high as the material allows).
- Rinse — remove remaining soils and residue.
Too much pressure or the wrong chemical can damage surfaces. Pressure washing has real safety risks; professional equipment and experience matter.
